A conceptual logic1 is what we have in mind when we ask questions about

  • the abstract properties, principles, mechanisms, or dynamics characterizing or underpinning systems like international relations, a bureacracy, a scientific theory, or
  • the internal arrangement of elements in a device to perform a specific task.
